Shan, practice owner, is a Pratt native who received his veterinary degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Ohio for several years, he returned to his hometown and established South Fork Veterinary Hospital. Shan enjoys the variety of mixed animal practice, and considers his own cow herd both his "pets" and his hobby. He and his wife, Shelley, have three grown children.

Shelley has been with the practice since its opening in 1990. She received her business degree from Kansas State University College of Business Administration. Currently, her list of pets includes seven cats and two dogs. In addition to her work at the office, Shelley enjoys helping with the family farming and cattle operation. Shelley and husband, Shan, have three grown children. 

Dr. Kayla joined the practice in 2021. She is a native of St. John, KS and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. After practicing in the Kansas City area for 11 years, she moved back to her hometown and practiced in Great Bend for 9 years. Kayla and husband, Brent, have two children, Weston and Lainey, who keep them very busy with sports, school, and 4-H activities. They have a dog and 3 farm cats.

Gina has been the voice of South Fork since the spring of 2004. Before joining the team she worked as an X-ray and ultrasound technician. She is an invaluable asset to ensuring that the office operates smoothly. She and her husband, Todd, are lifelong residents of St. John, KS. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her three grown children, five grandkids, two dogs, and four cats.  

Tiffany has been with the practice since July 2004. She was born and raised in Cunningham, KS and completed her Veterinary Technology Degree at Tulsa Community College. In addition to both small and large animal technician work, she manages the clinic's cow/calf computerized herd record system. Tiffany and her husband, Paul, are the proud parents of two beautiful children, William and Olivia. Her family is complete with one dog and many cats. 

Milan has been with the practice since the start of 2020. She obtained her Bachelor's in Animal Science from Kansas State University and her MBA from Emporia State University. She is currently a 4th year veterinary student at Kansas State, graduating with her DVM in 2026. Outside of work, she enjoys running cattle with her husband, Austin, riding horses, and spending time with her corgi.

Shari has been with the practice since October 2018 as a part time veterinary technician. She completed her Veterinary Technology Degree at Colby Community College and worked as a full time veterinary technician until 2017. When she isn't here in the clinic, you can find her working part time for Smiley Concrete. Her and her husband, Mike, call Medicine Lodge their home and enjoy running cattle, riding horses, and spending time with their grandchildren.

Karlie has been with the practice since 2022. She obtained her Associates in Ag Business and Economics from Pratt Community College and is currently in the works of studying Veterinary Nursing through Colby Community College. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, two dogs, and cat.

Mattie joined the  practice in July of 2025. She completed her Bachelors in Animal Science from K-State in 2019 followed with a Veterinary Technology degree from Maple Woods in 2021. She has  worked in small animal emergency and specialty, before joining our team. She and her husband Mark reside in Cunningham.  

Loo Loo adopted South Fork as her family in 2010, and has since claimed the office as her own. She spends her days lounging on the front counter, awaiting deliveries from the UPS drivers, and welcoming those arriving at the door. 

Cha Cha joined our team Summer of 2021. You can find her greeting clients and hanging out with her older sister Loo Loo.

Poppy joined our team Summer of 2025. You can find her zooming around the office and bugging her older two sisters.
